WorkMeet - Laravel Meetings and Team Chat

WorkMeet is a self-hosted collaboration platform built with Laravel 12. It brings together audio and video meetings, automatic email reminders, a complete internal mailbox and an instant team chat with presence status, in one modern and responsive interface available in English, French and Arabic (RTL).

Install it in minutes with the built-in web installer: no command line and no Composer. Upload the files, create a database and follow the wizard.

On the live demo, click Administrator or Staff member on the sign-in page to sign in instantly. Some actions are disabled in the demo and the data is reset every hour.

Requirements

• PHP 8.2 or higher (8.3 recommended)
• PHP extensions: pdo_mysql, mbstring, openssl, tokenizer, xml, ctype, json, bcmath, fileinfo, curl
• MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+
• HTTPS (required by browsers for camera and microphone)
• Ability to add cron jobs (cPanel or VPS)
• An SMTP account to send reminder emails
• Video meetings use the free public Jitsi Meet server by default (meet.jit.si: the first participant signs in with Google, GitHub or Facebook to start the meeting as host). Any Jitsi server can be set in .env.

Instructions

1. Unzip the download and upload workmeet.zip to your server, then extract it.
2. Point your domain (or subdomain) to the public folder.
3. Create an empty MySQL / MariaDB database and a database user.
4. Open your domain in a browser: the web installer checks the server, connects the database, creates the tables and the administrator account.
5. Add the two cron jobs shown at the end of the installer (scheduler and queue).
6. Set your SMTP settings in the .env file to send reminder emails, then run php artisan config:cache.
7. Sign in as administrator, create departments and staff accounts, and schedule your first meeting.
