Team Password for Perfex CRM

Note: This is a module for Perfex CRM. Not a standalone script.

Team Password Module is a self-hosted team password manager for companies to share passwords with their teams or clients. Every password is stored AES-256 encrypted in the database and can be shared safely through an advanced access control system. Keep logins, credit cards, email accounts, server credentials and software licences in one place inside Perfex CRM, organise them in a tree of categories, generate strong passwords for your team, and grant colleagues or clients exactly the level of access they need – read only, or full edit. Passwords can be attached to Contracts and Projects, shared with customer contacts through the Client Portal, and every action is written to an activity log so you always know who opened or changed what.

Module Features

1. AES-256 Encryption. All your passwords are stored AES-256 encrypted in the database. The encryption security key is managed from Settings, and changing it re-encrypts the existing records automatically.
2. Password Storage & Sharing. The easiest and safest way to share passwords, credit cards, email accounts, server credentials, software licences and more, with the people that matter most.
3. Strong Password Management. Make it easy for your team to store, generate and share strong passwords, with one-click copy to the clipboard so credentials never have to be typed out or sent in plain text.
4. Advanced Access Control. Share critical passwords with your colleagues and clients without worries. Use one of two sharing permissions to grant varying levels of access:
   • Share with individual staff members, with staff groups, or with an entire category.
   • Permissions can be set per category so that a whole branch of the tree inherits the same access rules.
   • Unlimited sharing with customers and their contacts.
5. Tree Hierarchy Categories. Organise passwords in nested categories, browse them hierarchically, and apply permissions at category level instead of record by record.
6. Contract & Project Integration. Attach passwords to Contracts and Projects – including multiple contracts and projects per record – and view the related contract information directly from the password.
7. Client Portal. Customers see the passwords shared with them from their own portal, and contacts are notified when something new is shared with them.
8. File Attachments. Attach files to a password record and preview the attachments without leaving the module.
9. Activity Log & Notifications. Every action is logged, expiration warnings flag credentials that need rotating, and change notifications keep the people who share a password informed.
10. Excel Import & Mass Actions. Import your existing password list from an MS Excel file, and delete records in bulk when cleaning up.
11. Dashboard & Statistics. A dashboard gives an overview of your password library, and detailed statistics show how it is used.
12. Email Templates. Configurable email templates and email form settings for the notifications sent to staff and customers.
