Stratus Weather Pro shows beautiful animated weather on your WordPress site the moment you activate it. Unlike most weather plugins, it works with no API key and no signup — weather data comes from the free Open-Meteo service. Add an OpenWeatherMap key later only if you want it.

Built for speed: weather is fetched server-side and cached, so one API request serves all your visitors. Assets load only on pages that show weather.

Requirements

• WordPress 6.0 or newer (tested up to 7.0)
• PHP 7.4 or newer (tested up to 8.3)
• No API key needed for the default Open-Meteo provider; a free OpenWeatherMap API key only if you choose that provider
• Elementor (free) only if you want to use the Elementor widget — everything works without it

Instructions

1. In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose stratus-weather-pro.zip, install and activate.
2. Done — weather works immediately with no API key. Add the "Stratus Weather" block to any page, drag the Elementor widget, or use the shortcode.
3. Optionally visit Settings → Stratus Weather to set your default location (with instant city search), units, skin, icon set and cache duration.
4. Pro tab: enable visitor geolocation, air quality badges, per-condition photo backgrounds and custom CSS.
