Description

StoreRent - Laravel Warehouse, Godown & Storage Rental Management System

StoreRent is a complete Laravel-based warehouse, godown, and storage rental management system designed for self-storage businesses, warehouse operators, cold storage providers, document storage companies, and rental-based storage service providers.

This system helps businesses manage storage units, customers, rental agreements, recurring invoices, payments, goods in/out tracking, gate passes, QR-based verification, customer portal access, reports, and operational workflows from one centralized platform.

What is StoreRent?

StoreRent is built to manage the full lifecycle of a storage rental business. From customer onboarding and unit reservation to agreement creation, billing, payment tracking, goods movement, gate security, and reporting, the system provides a structured workflow for daily warehouse and storage operations.

It is suitable for businesses that rent lockers, rooms, containers, racks, pallets, cages, shelves, open spaces, document boxes, cold storage spaces, and other storage units to customers.

Main Business Workflow

  1. Admin creates warehouses, floors, zones, and storage units.
  2. Customers are added manually or registered through the customer portal.
  3. Available storage units are assigned to customers through rental agreements.
  4. The system generates invoices based on billing cycle and rental terms.
  5. Customers make payments online or manually.
  6. Goods in/out records are created for customer goods movement.
  7. Gate passes and QR verification help manage warehouse entry and exit.
  8. Admin tracks overdue invoices, payments, customer ledger, occupancy, and reports.

Storage Unit Management

StoreRent allows administrators to create and manage different types of rentable storage units. Each unit can include dimensions, area, volume, weight capacity, rent amount, billing cycle, status, warehouse, floor, zone, and QR code.

Supported storage unit types include locker, room, container, rack, pallet, cage, shelf, open space, and other custom unit types.

Agreement and Billing Management

Rental agreements are one of the main parts of StoreRent. Admins can create agreements for customers, assign one or multiple storage units, set rent amount, security deposit, billing cycle, start date, end date, terms, and payment conditions.

The invoice module helps generate rental invoices, track paid and unpaid amounts, manage overdue invoices, apply late fees, and maintain a complete customer financial history.

Goods In / Goods Out Tracking

StoreRent includes goods movement management for incoming and outgoing goods. Staff can record item details, quantity, unit of measurement, weight, batch number, lot number, expiry date, vehicle information, driver details, and verification status.

This helps warehouse operators maintain a clear record of what goods entered or left the warehouse and under which customer agreement.

Gate Pass and QR Verification

Gate pass management helps security teams verify goods movement and vehicle entry/exit. Each gate pass can include a QR token that can be scanned by authorized staff to validate movement details.

This makes the warehouse gate operation more controlled, traceable, and secure.

Customer Portal

Customers can log in to their portal to view their agreements, storage units, invoices, payments, goods movements, statements, notifications, bookings, renewal requests, and support tickets.

The customer portal reduces manual communication and gives customers direct access to their rental and billing information.

Reports and Analytics

StoreRent includes reports for financial tracking, warehouse occupancy, customer ledger, goods movement, invoice status, payment collection, outstanding balances, maintenance, and operational performance.

These reports help business owners make better decisions about revenue, capacity, customer activity, and warehouse utilization.

Role-Based Access Control

The system includes role and permission management so that different users can access only the sections they need. Default user roles can include Super Admin, Warehouse Manager, Accountant, Security Guard, and Customer.
