Spreadsheet Online for Perfex CRM

Note: This is a module for Perfex CRM. Not a standalone script.

Brief description

Spreadsheet Online module brings a full-featured spreadsheet editor directly into your Perfex CRM, so your team can build, calculate and share worksheets without ever leaving the CRM or switching to a desktop app. Create documents with formulas, dropdown lists and custom styling; keep everything organized by project, folder and tag; and link every spreadsheet to the contracts, proposals, estimates, projects, invoices, expenses or leads it belongs to. Share sheets with teammates or clients, embed them on any web page, and move data in and out of MS Excel in a click. One central, cloud-based repository replaces scattered files sent by email and keeps your numbers next to the records they describe.

Module Features

1. Online Spreadsheet Editor. A modern, Excel-like editor that runs right inside Perfex CRM:
   • Enter and edit data in a familiar grid – no desktop software required.
   • Apply formulas and calculations to turn raw numbers into totals, ratios and summaries.
   • Add dropdown lists to cells for consistent, validated data entry.
   • Customize styling and formatting (fonts, colors, borders, alignment) to make documents clear and presentable.
   • Perfex keyboard shortcuts are disabled while editing, so nothing interferes with your work in the sheet.
2. Organize Your Documents. Keep every worksheet exactly where your team expects to find it:
   • Group spreadsheets by project for a clear, project-centric structure.
   • Build your own folder tree and rearrange documents with drag & drop.
   • Add tags so documents are categorized automatically and easy to filter.
   • Search by name or tag and open the right document in seconds.
3. Relate Spreadsheets to Perfex Records. Every sheet lives next to the business record it belongs to:
   • Relate a spreadsheet to a Contract, Proposal, Estimate, Project, Invoice, Expense or Lead.
   • Keep cost breakdowns, quotations and calculations attached to the record they describe, so nothing gets lost in email attachments.
   • Manage relations from the Share & Relate panel in the spreadsheet details view.
4. Sharing & Notifications. Collaborate with the right people at the right time:
   • Share a spreadsheet with selected staff members straight from the document.
   • Recipients receive a web notification and an email notification when a sheet is shared with them.
   • Enable or disable notifications in the module settings.
   • Email notifications use editable email templates, so the message matches your brand.
5. Publish & Embed. Take your data beyond the CRM:
   • Generate an embed code and display a live spreadsheet on any web page.
   • Share a document with clients through the Client Portal.
6. MS Excel Import & Export. Work seamlessly with the files you already have:
   • Import existing MS Excel workbooks into the module and keep working online.
   • Export any spreadsheet to MS Excel for offline use, reporting or sending to partners.
7. Team Collaboration. One cloud repository for the whole company:
   • Team members can view and edit documents remotely from any browser, anywhere.
   • Unlimited projects and unlimited users – scale without extra cost.
   • All important documents are stored centrally, so there is no more searching through email attachments.
8. Reliable Storage. Spreadsheets are stored as physical files on your server instead of database blobs, keeping your database light and document loading fast even as your library grows.
