SignFlow - Signature Forms to Signed PDF Documents

Description

Full e-signature platforms mean a monthly subscription and an external service holding your documents. If what you actually need is "collect a signed agreement and keep a PDF record of it," SignFlow does exactly that, self-hosted, with no recurring fee and no third party in the loop.

Build a form with a title, agreement text, up to five custom fields, a notification email, and a confirmation message, then drop its `` shortcode on any page. Visitors sign by drawing on an on-page pad or by typing their name in a cursive signature style - a fully keyboard- and screen-reader-accessible alternative that needs no plugin or service on their end. Signers confirm via a one-time link emailed to the address they typed, proving they control it, before the signature is finalized.

Every confirmed submission becomes a PDF containing their answers, their signature, and a certificate-of-completion audit trail - IP address, browser, submission and confirmation timestamps, and a verification ID, the same class of evidence DocuSign and HelloSign attach to a completed envelope. PDFs are never served as direct files; every download goes through an authenticated wp-admin link resolved from the database, never a guessable path. A notification email sends with the PDF attached once confirmed (a failed send is logged but never blocks the submission), and the submissions screen in wp-admin has search, pagination, and a mobile-friendly layout so it holds up well past a handful of signed agreements.

Every font used on the signing page and in the generated PDF ships with the plugin - nothing is fetched from Google Fonts or any other third-party CDN, on-brand with the "no third party in the loop" pitch.

WP admin: `admin` / `DemoAdmin2026!` for the submissions dashboard (SignFlow > All submissions). Also 4 real published agreement pages a buyer can sign themselves, no login needed: `/brand-identity-agreement/`, `/mutual-nda/`, `/website-contract/`, `/photo-release/`.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 8.1 or later. No parent plugin required.

Instructions

1. Upload the `signflow` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or upload the zip via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. 2. Activate the plugin. 3. Go to SignFlow > Add form. 4. Set a title, the agreement text shown next to the checkbox, up to five custom field labels (leave blank to skip), a notification email, and a confirmation message. 5. Copy the form's `` shortcode from the SignFlow list onto any post or page. 6. A visitor fills in their name, email, any custom fields, checks the agreement, signs (drawing on the pad or typing their name in a cursive style), and submits. 7. The signer confirms via a one-time link emailed to the address they entered, before the signature is finalized. 8. The confirmed submission becomes a downloadable PDF with their answers, signature, and a certificate-of-completion audit trail; a notification email with the PDF attached sends automatically. 9. Review and download every submission from SignFlow > All submissions - PDFs are only ever served through an authenticated wp-admin link.

Note: PDF text uses Latin-1-compatible characters; full Unicode scripts (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic, Arabic, emoji) are not supported in the generated PDF, a limitation of the underlying PDF library's standard fonts.
