ShopBeat POS is a complete point-of-sale and inventory app that runs in any modern browser on phones, tablets and desktops, and can be installed to the home screen like an app. It needs no server, no database and no internet connection. All data is stored on the device.

- Dashboard: today's sales, comparison with yesterday, low-stock count, 7-day chart and best sellers, all calculated from real invoices
- Register: search by name or barcode, categories, cart, tax, discount, cash received and change
- Payments: cash, card, online
- Receipts: print, share, WhatsApp, and thermal receipt printing (58/80 mm ESC/POS via supported browsers or the RawBT app; compatibility depends on printer model)
- Barcode: USB/Bluetooth scanner or typed entry; camera scanning where the browser supports it
- Stock: add, edit, delete products, categories, barcodes, low-stock alerts
- Invoices: history, reopen receipt, delete invoice with or without restock, CSV export
- Staff: Owner and Cashier roles with PIN sign-in
- Insights: tips calculated locally from your own sales data (rule-based, no cloud AI)
- Backup and restore (JSON), 5 color themes, currency and tax settings
- First-run welcome screen with optional sample data
- Responsive layout and installable (PWA) on Android, iOS and desktop.
Requirements
Any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari (iOS/iPadOS 13.4+), Samsung Internet. No PHP, server or database needed. Optional: HTTPS web hosting (for installing as an app, camera barcode scanning and Bluetooth printing). Optional, only if you build your own Android app: Node.js 18+ and Android Studio.
Instructions
1. Unzip the package. 2. Open index.html in your browser. The app runs immediately (data is stored in the browser). 3. On first launch, enter your store name, currency and tax rate, then choose an empty store or load sample data. 4. To publish online: upload all files and folders (keep the structure) to any static hosting with HTTPS. Then it can be installed on the home screen and works offline. 5. Customize colors, default settings and sample data as described in documentation/index.html. 6. Optional Android app: follow android-build/README-ANDROID.md (the APK is not included).
