SevenDayGames - Multiplayer HTML5 Games Portal

SevenDayGames is a complete, ready-to-install multiplayer games portal written in plain PHP 8, MySQL and vanilla JavaScript. It ships with 82 family games (cards, board, dice, tiles, skill, party and brain games) that can be played online in real time with friends, against bots, or offline on the same device.

Players start as guests and can turn their guest profile into an account (password reset by e-mail), earn XP, levels and coins, unlock cosmetic avatars and table cloths in the shop, keep favourite games and climb the rankings. Online tables can be public or private (5-letter code), with quick match, a turn timer and automatic bots that replace missing or inactive players.

The interface is mobile-first and installable as a PWA (offline cache), every game has an interactive tutorial, and the whole portal is translated into 9 languages (English, French, Arabic RTL, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Hindi) with automatic browser detection. No framework, no build step, no Node server: it runs on any shared cPanel hosting.

There is no gambling content: no casino or betting games, and coins are cosmetic rewards that cannot be bought, wagered or withdrawn.

The demo is reset automatically every hour; password, e-mail and name changes are disabled in the demo. The portal and the admin page are available in 9 languages.

Requirements

• PHP 8.0 to 8.4 with pdo_mysql and mbstring
• MySQL 5.7+ / 8.x or MariaDB 10.3+
• Apache (shared hosting / cPanel supported) or Nginx
• HTTPS recommended (required by browsers for PWA install)

Instructions

1. Create a MySQL database and user (cPanel > MySQL Databases).
2. Upload the content of the upload/ folder to your web root or a sub-folder.
3. Edit server/config.php (database, domain, sender e-mail) and set your admin password in server/admin_pass.php.
4. Open your site: the tables are created automatically on the first visit.
