RSVPLite - Event RSVP Manager with Capacity Limits

RSVPLite is a self-hosted event RSVP and guest-list manager with a real, working capacity limit, not just a headcount you have to watch manually. Create an event, share a public RSVP link, and let the system handle the rest: once the confirmed headcount hits capacity, further "yes" RSVPs land on a waitlist automatically, and guests see that immediately so the event never silently overbooks.

Every event gets its own public RSVP page, no login needed for guests, share the link however you like or copy it with one click from the events list. A guest picks yes or no and, if yes, their party size; once confirmed, they can add the event straight to their calendar. On your side, a live guest list per event shows name, email, response, party size, status, and an optional message, plus a running summary of confirmed, waitlisted, and declined counts, searchable and filterable so a few hundred guests stay just as manageable as ten. You can also add a guest manually for an RSVP taken by phone, it runs through the exact same capacity and waitlist logic as the public form, and export the full guest list to CSV any time.

Most RSVP tools are either a spreadsheet you have to police yourself, or a subscription event platform charging you per guest. RSVPLite is a small, self-hosted PHP script: upload it, run the one-time setup, and you have a working RSVP page with a real capacity limit built in. It runs on SQLite, so there's no MySQL database to create, no Composer, no Node, and no build step, just upload and go.

Requirements

PHP 8.1 or later with the `pdo_sqlite` extension. No other dependency.

Instructions

1. Upload the contents of `src/` to your web host, or run locally with `php -S localhost:8000 -t src`. 2. Make sure `src/data/` is writable by PHP. The included `.htaccess` in that folder blocks direct web access to the SQLite database; on Nginx (which ignores `.htaccess`), add an equivalent `location` block denying access to `/data/`. 3. Visit the site. With no admin account yet, you're taken to a one-time setup screen to set your organizer name and create an admin login. 4. Create an event (Events > New event): name, description, date and time, location, and an optional capacity (leave blank for an unlimited guest list). 5. Share the event's public RSVP link (`rsvp.php?event=...`), copyable from the events list, however you'd share any link, no login required for guests. 6. Manage the guest list from the event (click the event name): view live RSVPs, add a guest manually for a phone RSVP, remove a guest, or export the whole list as CSV.
