Reforma - Pilates, Reformer, Shop and Cafe Suite

Reforma is a complete web application for a Pilates studio that also runs wellness services, a retail corner and a coffee bar / kitchen, written in plain PHP 8 and MySQL. One code base gives you a modern public website, a mobile-first member area, a coach area, a front desk & bar area and a full admin back office.

Members book Mat and Reformer classes in one tap, join the waiting list, cancel before the deadline you choose and follow their session balance per room. They buy packages (single classes, monthly passes, Duo Mat & Reformer, 3-month programs, sauna passes), book the sauna or a massage by time slot, and order drinks, food and products from the coffee bar menu and the shop with choices and extras.

The front desk receives orders on a live screen with sound alerts, sells at the counter with a touch POS (options, change, pay later), opens and closes cash sessions, manages the sauna & massage diary and the stock. Administrators manage the weekly class template that fills the schedule automatically, classes, coaches, packages, treatments, products, option groups, stock history, payments, clients, website advertising (hero video, banners, popup), push campaigns, statistics, team access rights and every setting.

The app is an installable PWA with Web Push notifications implemented in pure PHP, HTML e-mails, an optional cron task for reminders and a web installer with optional fictional demo data. It is fully translated into 9 languages (English, French, Arabic with right-to-left layout, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Hindi) and every notification or e-mail is sent in the language of its recipient. Currency, timezone and phone country code are configurable. Payments are recorded at the studio out of the box; the online payment flow is built in with a provider adapter and a payment simulator.

Public website: https://reforma.sevendaygames.com/. The demo contains only fictional data and is reset automatically every hour. Changing passwords or sign-in e-mails, file uploads and outgoing e-mails / push are disabled in the demo; online payments use the built-in simulator (no money involved).

Requirements

• PHP 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 or 8.3 with pdo_mysql, mbstring and fileinfo (openssl and curl for push notifications)
• MySQL 5.7+ / 8.0 or MariaDB 10.3+
• Apache or LiteSpeed with .htaccess support (Nginx possible)
• HTTPS recommended (required for push notifications and PWA installation)
• PHP mail() available for e-mails

Instructions

1. Create an empty MySQL / MariaDB database and a database user.
2. Upload the content of the upload/ folder to your hosting (public_html or a sub-folder).
3. Make config/, storage/, storage/sessions/ and uploads/ (with its sub-folders) writable.
4. Open install.php in your browser, fill in the database details, studio name, language, timezone, currency and administrator account, and optionally tick the demo data option.
5. Delete install.php after the installation.
6. Optionally add the cron job cron/reminders.php every 15 minutes, then configure classes, coaches, the weekly template, packages, treatments and products from the admin area.
