Instructions

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to install and configure Paint Suvidha on your server.

1. Upload Project Files

• Upload the complete source code to your web server.
• Extract the project files in your desired directory.

2. Create Database

• Create a new MySQL database from your hosting control panel.
• Create a database user and assign all privileges.
• Import the provided SQL database file into your database.

3. Configure Environment File

Open the .env file and update your database credentials:

DB_DATABASE=your_database_name
DB_USERNAME=your_database_username
DB_PASSWORD=your_database_password

Also update your application URL:

APP_URL=https://your-domain.com

4. Install Composer Dependencies

Run the following command in the project root directory:

composer install

5. Generate Application Key

Run:

php artisan key:generate

6. Clear Cache

Run these commands:

php artisan config:clear
php artisan cache:clear
php artisan route:clear
php artisan view:clear

7. Storage Link

Create a symbolic link for uploaded files:

php artisan storage:link

8. Configure Permissions

Make sure these folders have write permission:

storage/
bootstrap/cache/

Recommended permission:

755 or 775

9. Build Frontend Assets (If Required)

Install Node dependencies:

npm install

Compile assets:

npm run production

10. Configure Web Server

For Apache:

• Point your domain document root to the project's public folder.

Example:

/public_html/project-name/public

For Nginx:

• Configure the root directory to:

/project-path/public

After installation, access:

Mobile App Configuration (Painter & Dealer App)

1. Update API base URL in mobile application.

Example:

API_URL=https://your-domain.com/

1. Configure authentication API.
2. Update Firebase configuration (if push notification is enabled).
3. Build and install the mobile application.
