Installation Instructions

Step 1: Download and Extract

Download the product ZIP file and extract it on your computer. The package contains:

Step 2: Create a Database

1. Log in to your hosting control panel.
2. Open MySQL Databases.
3. Create a new database.
4. Create a database user.
5. Assign the user to the database with All Privileges.
6. Save the following information:
   • Database hostname
   • Database name
   • Database username
   • Database password

Step 3: Upload Source Files

1. Open File Manager.
2. Go to public_html or your selected subdomain folder.
3. Upload the application source-code ZIP.
4. Extract all files inside the selected directory.
5. Make sure index.php is placed directly inside the installation directory.

Step 4: Import the Database

1. Open phpMyAdmin.
2. Select the newly created database.
3. Click the Import option.
4. Select the included quiz.sql file.
5. Click Import or Go.
6. Wait for the successful import message.

Step 5: Configure Database Connection

Open: application/config/sq_config.php Update the following values:

Step 6: Check File Permissions

Use the following recommended permissions:

• Folders: 755
• Files: 644
• application/config/sq_config.php: 644 after configuration

Do not keep configuration files publicly writable after installation.

Step 7: Open the Application

Step 8: Administrator Login

Use the administrator account created during installation or included with the authorized package. After the first login:

6. Remove or disable unnecessary demo accounts.

Step 9: Security Configuration
