MoversPro - Moving Company HTML Template

Description

Most templates in this category are a brochure with a phone number on it. MoversPro is built around what people actually do before they book a mover: work out what it will cost, and then check where their things are.

Three tools the rest of the category does not have

Move Planner — a real estimator, not a contact form in disguise. A four-step wizard a visitor finishes in two minutes. Pick the property (studio through 4+ bedrooms, or an office) and the inventory pre-fills with a typical load. Adjust 41 items across five rooms, each carrying a real cubic-feet value. Set distance and extras — packing, materials, piano handling, storage, appliance disconnect, cleaning, two levels of protection. Then read the price: total volume, recommended truck, crew size, loading hours and a transparent cost breakdown, printable or sent to the inbox with the whole plan attached. Progress is saved in the browser, so an interrupted plan is still there tomorrow. Every rate, item volume and truck size lives in one commented CONFIG block — repricing the whole tool takes five minutes and no JavaScript knowledge.

Shipment Tracking — the page every moving customer asks for. Enter a booking reference and get a five-stage timeline, an animated route bar with a moving truck, the estimated arrival window, the crew and vehicle, and a full event history. Four demo shipments are included, one for each interesting state. Deep links work too. Connecting it to a real dispatch system means replacing a single lookup() function, and the exact response shape is documented.

Moving Checklist — 35 tasks that keep people on the site. An eight-week countdown from get three quotes to change the locks. Filter by admin, packing, utilities or family, watch the progress ring fill, and print the whole thing for the fridge. Ticks are saved in the browser.

Everything else

  • 29 HTML pages, including three distinct home-page designs
  • Working PHP contact form — no Composer, no PHPMailer, three lines to configure. Honeypot and time-trap spam protection built in. Falls back gracefully on hosts without PHP, and works with JavaScript disabled.
  • Dark and light mode, following the visitor's system setting
  • Genuinely responsive — every page verified at 360, 375, 414, 768, 1024 and 1440 px with zero horizontal overflow. 174 combinations, all checked.
  • Modular CSS — one file per component, every breakpoint in one responsive.css. Find what you need without scrolling through 3,000 lines.
  • Accessible by construction — labelled controls, ARIA on every widget, visible focus, keyboard-operable gallery and star rating, reduced-motion support
  • Complete favicon set — SVG, ICO, Apple touch, Android, Windows tile, manifest
  • Full SEO head on all 29 pages — Open Graph, Twitter Card, canonical, theme-color
  • No jQuery. No build step. No dependencies. Open a file, edit it, upload it.

Built for the person who has to maintain it

  • Every file is commented in plain English, explaining why rather than restating the code
  • Colours, fonts and spacing are CSS custom properties — change one value and the whole site follows, dark mode included
  • The Move Planner's pricing formula is documented line by line
  • The legal pages ship with every placeholder highlighted in yellow, so nothing goes live half-finished by accident
  • A pre-launch checklist in the documentation lists all ten things to change before going live

What is included

  • 29 HTML pages
  • Modular CSS — 25 component modules plus style.css and responsive.css — and six JavaScript files
  • PHP contact handler with spam protection
  • Complete favicon set and web manifest
  • SVG logos, and a grey placeholder card in every image slot, sized and labelled
  • Full HTML documentation, 36 sections

What is not included

The photographs are not included. Every image slot ships as a grey placeholder card printed with the size it expects, so you can see the layout before you have artwork. Drop your own files in using the same filenames and no HTML changes are needed. The photography on the live demo is Pexels imagery, licensed for the demo only. Nothing in the download carries a third-party image licence, so there is no attribution for you to manage.

No PSD or Figma source is bundled — the design is the code.

Requirements

  • Any web host, or none — the template is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript and runs from a local folder
  • A modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, current or one version back
  • PHP 7.4 or newer only if you use the bundled contact handler. On static hosting, point the forms at Formspree or Netlify Forms instead — documented, no code changes needed.
  • A plain text editor. No Node, no npm, no build step, no database.

Instructions

  1. Unzip the download. You get two folders: template/ and documentation/.
  2. Open documentation/index.html in a browser first — it is the full manual, 36 sections.
  3. Open template/index.html to see the template running. No server needed.
  4. Set your colours in assets/css/style.css — the :root block at the top holds every colour, font and spacing value. Dark mode follows automatically.
  5. Replace the logo files in assets/images/ and the placeholder cards in assets/images/photos/, keeping the same filenames so no HTML has to change.
  6. Configure the contact handler: open sendemail.php and set the three values at the top.
  7. Reprice the Move Planner if you need to: the CONFIG block at the top of the planner script holds every rate, item volume and truck size, each one commented.
  8. Work through the pre-launch checklist in the documentation — ten things to change before going live, including the highlighted placeholders in the privacy policy and terms.
  9. Upload the contents of template/ to your host.
