MojiERP - Laravel ERP for Business and NGOs

MojiERP runs as a centralized web application that different teams log into based on their role. Program staff register children, guardians, and sponsors, then manage sponsorship matching, progress reports, and correspondence through dedicated workflows. Field and processing teams log farmer profiles and track coffee from purchase (GRN) through processing, grading, packaging, and final sale, with stock levels updating automatically at each stage.

Every transaction, sponsorship gifts, coffee sales, payroll, requisitions flows into a shared financial core, posting to the general ledger and feeding budgets, tax records, and bank reconciliation in real time. HR manages staff and payroll separately, while an applicant portal lets outside candidates apply without needing internal access.

Role- and permission-based access control governs it all, so a social worker, an accountant, and a farm coordinator each see only the tools and data relevant to their job while leadership gets a unified view across programs and operations.

Requirements

• PHP 8.1 or higher with PDO MySQL, mbstring, OpenSSL, Tokenizer, XML, Ctype and BCMath.
• An empty MySQL or MariaDB database and a database user.
• A web server with its document root pointing to the public/ folder.

Instructions

Guided Installation

1. Upload the package to your server and point the website document root to public/.
2. Create an empty MySQL or MariaDB database and a user with privileges on that database.
3. Open the website URL. The application redirects to /install when it has not been installed.
4. Complete the requirements check, enter the database connection details, allow the installer to create the tables and reference data, and create your administrator account.
5. The installer writes storage/installed to lock installation and redirects to the login page.

After Installation

• Set APP_ENV=production and APP_DEBUG=false in .env.
• Ensure storage/ and bootstrap/cache/ are writable by the web server.
• Check that public/storage points to storage/app/public; run php artisan storage:link if needed.
• The default QUEUE_CONNECTION=sync does not require a worker. Run a queue worker if you configure another queue driver.
• For HTTPS, set SESSION_SECURE_COOKIE=true in .env.
• The administration assets are pre-built in public/backend/assets. Run npm install and npm run build only when customizing the Tailwind/Vite pages.

Troubleshooting

For database connection errors, check the host, port and database permissions. Try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost when a local socket connection is unavailable. For errors before installation, check write permissions on storage/ and bootstrap/cache/.
