LaunchBeacon - Web Awards and Showcase SaaS

LaunchBeacon is a Laravel 12 web awards and showcase platform for websites, themes, apps and games. Creators submit work for staff moderation, jury and community scoring, and dated awards with verifiable PDF certificates and embeddable badges.

Configure submission tiers, memberships, sponsored placements, scoring weights and voting windows. The platform includes creator profiles, a jury programme, newsletters, a blog and a staff panel with Admin, Jury and Editor roles.

The package includes editable Laravel, Blade, CSS and JavaScript source, pre-built assets, a browser installer, HTML documentation and an installation PDF. Configure your own payment, email and optional AI provider accounts. Fictional demo works, people and images are excluded from the purchase.

Requirements

• PHP 8.2 or newer with Ctype, cURL, DOM, Fileinfo, Filter, GD (with WebP), Mbstring, OpenSSL, PDO MySQL, Tokenizer and XML; Intl and Exif are recommended
• MySQL 8 or MariaDB 10.6+
• Apache with mod_rewrite or Nginx, with the document root pointed at public/
• One cron entry for the scheduler: it closes voting, proposes and publishes awards, and sends the newsletter and reminders
• HTTPS on the live domain for payment gateway returns and webhooks
• Browsers: Chrome and Edge 111+, Firefox 121+, Safari 16.4+, and the current Chrome and Safari on Android and iOS; Internet Explorer is not supported

Instructions

1. Unzip the download. It holds launchbeacon.zip, the HTML documentation and an installation guide PDF.
2. Unzip launchbeacon.zip and upload everything inside it to a folder on your server, for example /home/you/launchbeacon.
3. In your hosting panel, set the domain's document root to /home/you/launchbeacon/public.
4. Create an empty MySQL database and a user with all privileges on it.
5. Open your domain in a browser. The installer opens by itself: it checks the server requirements and folder permissions, then asks for the site name and address, the database details and your admin account.
6. Press Install. When it finishes you are taken to the staff sign-in at /admin/login.
7. Add one cron entry that runs every minute: * * * * * cd /home/you/launchbeacon && php artisan schedule:run >> /dev/null 2>&1
8. In Settings, add your contact email, branding and SMTP details, then connect PayPal or another gateway and switch it on.
