Requirements

• PHP 8.2 or higher
• MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+
• Apache with mod_rewrite enabled
• PDO MySQL, mbstring, OpenSSL, tokenizer, JSON, ctype and fileinfo PHP extensions
• Write permission for storage/ and bootstrap/cache/

Instructions

Installation Guide

1. Download and extract the ZIP into your web server folder.
2. For XAMPP, extract directly into htdocs/civicsphere.
3. Create a new empty MySQL database, or allow the installer to create one if your hosting account permits it.
4. Open https://your-domain.com/install or http://localhost/civicsphere/install.
5. Complete the three installer steps: server requirements, database details and Super Admin account.
6. Log in and configure your organization profile, logo, units, staff roles and website settings.

Important

• Make storage/ and bootstrap/cache/ writable.
• Keep the supplied root .htaccess file.
• Do not copy an existing .env file from another installation.
• Read documentation/index.html included in the package for complete instructions.
