Cineris Veil - Native Android FPS Template

Description

Cineris Veil is a complete native Android FPS and roguelite game template developed with Kotlin and Android Studio. The package includes the full editable source code, gameplay systems, original visual and audio assets, localization, documentation, and tools designed to make customization and rebranding easier. It does not require Unity, Godot or Unreal Engine. The project opens directly in Android Studio and is designed specifically for mobile Android gameplay.

Core Gameplay

Cineris Veil uses a distinctive resource system where Lumen acts as health, ammunition and visibility simultaneously. Firing consumes Lumen, enemy attacks drain it, and defeated enemies can drop temporary embers that restore light. This creates a risk-versus-reward gameplay loop in which the player must constantly choose between attacking and conserving resources.

Native Mobile FPS Controls

The template includes mobile-first controls designed specifically for touchscreens:

  • Virtual movement joystick
  • Full right-side touch camera control
  • Hold-to-fire input
  • Optional gyroscope aiming
  • Adjustable sensitivity
  • Look acceleration
  • Configurable deadzone
  • Invert Y option
  • Optional auto-sprint
  • Large touch-friendly ability controls

Enemy AI

Multiple enemy archetypes are included:

  • Tracker
  • Charger
  • Spitter
  • Light-draining Nullifier
  • Echo ranged enemy
  • Multi-phase Hollow Choir boss

Enemies include distinct behaviors, navigation, attack telegraphs and tactical roles.

Story Mode

The included Story mode features:

  • Progressive wave-based gameplay
  • Multiple cathedral sectors
  • Increasing enemy combinations
  • Unlocking areas
  • Combo and scoring system
  • Victory and defeat states
  • Run statistics
  • Multi-phase final boss encounter

Roguelite Mode

The Echoes mode includes:

  • Randomized runs
  • Multiple gameplay sectors
  • Relic selections
  • Weapon unlocks
  • Persistent local progression
  • Increasing difficulty
  • Local high scores

Weapons and Abilities

The template includes several Lumen-based weapons and abilities:

  • Rifle-Lantern
  • Needle precision weapon
  • Fanal short-range weapon
  • Rosette charged weapon
  • Canticle continuous beam
  • Ghost Step dash
  • Flash ability

All weapons interact with the same Lumen economy instead of relying on a traditional ammunition system.

Relic System

The included roguelite relics modify gameplay rules rather than providing only basic percentage upgrades. Relics can change:

  • Shot cost
  • Dash behavior
  • Visibility
  • Ember effects
  • Ability availability
  • Cooldowns
  • Resource management

Customization

Important gameplay parameters are centralized and easy to modify, including:

  • Weapon statistics
  • Enemy properties
  • Wave composition
  • Movement values
  • Lumen economy
  • Ability costs
  • Visibility
  • Difficulty
  • Relics

Instructions

1. Extract the Project

Download the purchased ZIP file and extract it to a local folder. For best results, use a short path such as: C:AndroidProjectsCinerisVeil

2. Open in Android Studio

Launch Android Studio and select: File > Open Select the project root folder containing: settings.gradle.kts Do not open only the app folder.

3. Configure JDK

Configure Android Studio to use JDK 17 for Gradle. Go to: Settings > Build, Execution, Deployment > Build Tools > Gradle Select JDK 17 as the Gradle JDK.

4. Install Android SDK

Open the Android SDK Manager and make sure the required Android SDK platform is installed. Android SDK Platform 36 is recommended for the included configuration.

5. Sync the Project

Allow Android Studio to complete Gradle synchronization. The first synchronization may take longer because Gradle dependencies need to be downloaded.

6. Run the Game

Connect an Android device with USB debugging enabled or start an Android emulator. Select the device from Android Studio and press: Run The game will build, install and launch automatically.

7. Customize the Template

The included documentation explains how to modify:

  • Application name

9. Create a Release Build

Before publishing your own version, create your own Android signing key. A release Android App Bundle can then be generated from Android Studio or with Gradle. Example: gradlew.bat :app:bundleRelease On macOS/Linux: ./gradlew :app:bundleRelease

10. Read the Documentation

Before making major modifications, review the included documentation covering:

  • Project architecture
  • Rebranding
