AD IMPORTER for VirtueMart allows you to bulk import products directly into your Joomla store. It automates product creation, high-definition image downloading, and categorization in just a few clicks. It also ensures that re-importing an existing product only updates the cost price, preventing duplicates.
Features
- Smart Import and Price Sync: On the first import, the full product is created. Re-importing the same product updates only the Cost Price.
- Image Downloading: Automatically fetches and saves high-resolution product images directly to your local server (videos are skipped).
- Auto-Categorization: Detects product types and smartly assigns categories and sub-categories based on product type and color.
- Size Variants: Automatically extracts size variations and seamlessly converts them into selectable VirtueMart Cart Attributes.
- Description Sanitizer: Cleans up messy vendor descriptions, stripping out unnecessary CSS, JavaScript, and unneeded tags.
- Automated Stock Management: Set a default stock quantity for all newly imported products right from the plugin settings.
Requirements
- Joomla 3.x, 4.x, or 5.x installed and running.
- VirtueMart Component installed.
- Google Chrome Browser (to run the companion extension).
- PHP 7.4 or higher.
Instructions
- Install Google Chrome: If you don't have it, download it here: Get Chrome Browser
- Install the Extension: Add the AD IMPORTER extension to your browser: Install AD IMPORTER Extension
- Install the Joomla Plugin: Upload and install the "adimporter.zip" file via your Joomla Extension Manager.
- Setup Secret Password: Go to Extensions > Plugins, find "System - AD IMPORTER for VirtueMart", and enter a "Secret Password" in the settings. Enable the plugin.
- Connect and Import: Open the Chrome extension, enter your website URL and Secret Password, then start importing products from any supported site.
