Do I need WooCommerce or any plugins?

How do payments work?

The theme uses an eBay-style payment model. When a buyer wins an auction, they pay the seller directly via PayPal. The seller then pays the site commission, which is collected via Stripe. You earn a percentage of every sale without handling the main transaction.

What is proxy bidding?

Proxy bidding lets buyers set a maximum bid amount. The system automatically places the minimum necessary bid on their behalf, incrementing only when another bidder bids. This continues until the proxy maximum is reached — exactly how eBay bidding works.

What is anti-sniping?

Anti-sniping prevents last-second bidding from stealing auctions unfairly. When a bid is placed in the final moments of an auction, the countdown timer automatically extends by a configurable amount (e.g., 5 minutes), giving other bidders a fair chance to respond.

Can sellers submit auctions from the front end?

Yes. Registered sellers can create, edit, and manage their auctions entirely from the front-end dashboard. They set the title, description, images, starting bid, reserve price, Buy Now price, duration, and category — no WordPress admin access needed.

Does it support reserve prices?

Yes. Sellers can set a hidden reserve price when creating an auction. If bidding doesn't reach the reserve, the auction ends without a sale. Bidders see a "Reserve not yet met" indicator that changes to "Reserve met" once the threshold is reached.

What does the sample data include?

One click installs sample auctions across multiple categories, bid histories, seller and buyer accounts, and category structures. Your marketplace looks populated from the start — perfect for testing every feature and showing clients what the finished site will look like.

How do I earn revenue as the site owner?

Three revenue streams built in: listing fees charged when sellers create an auction, featured listing fees for premium placement, and seller commissions — a percentage of the final sale price. All amounts are configurable from the admin panel.

Yes. All strings use WordPress i18n functions with the '007aj-auction' text domain. You can translate every string using any standard WordPress translation plugin.
