Soroban Math Challenge - Flutter Mobile Game

Introduction

The soroban (算盤, そろばん, counting tray) is an abacus developed in Japan. It is derived from the ancient Chinese suanpan, imported to Japan in the 14th century.^{[1][nb 1]} Like the suanpan, the soroban is still used today, despite the proliferation of practical and affordable pocket electronic calculators.

ISoroban is the digitized version of Soroban helps people to have a soroban board on their smart device and practice with it. Besides, it also has a game with many levels to challenge players to solve problems, helping players become more and more proficient with the Soroban abacus.

Technology used

ISoroban is built with Flutter 3.7.4 and Flame Engine. It is suitable for the Google Play Store, app Store and uses Google Admob for banner and rewarded video ads. The app is optimized for any Android, IOS device and is easily customizable with a creative layout. It is lightweight and powerful with fast performance and comes with free Google fonts and updates. The code is well-commented and the app includes developer-friendly documentation that is available online for easy access. The biggest advantage that Flutter gives in comparison to native Android and IOS is the cross-platform support, i.e., you can use the same codebase for different platforms.
